This course is designed to provide participants with the opportunity to gain a basic knowledge of Desktop Publishing including importing and placing graphics, creating cards and researching the Internet before moving on to create more creative publications such as Gift Boxes, Calendars and Placemats.

 

The course will help & encourage learners to both be more creative using the computer as well as gaining a recognised qualification.

 

Week 1 - Induction and Introduction to Desktop Publishing

Week 2 - Microsoft Word and the Internet

Week 3 – Scrapbook Factory

Week 4 – Microsoft Publisher

Week 5 – Greeting Card Factory

Week 6 – Assignment Work

 

 

Students should have a basic knowledge of computers and an interest in Desktop Publishing
